Gothic angel paintings on the upper floor of the Kings' Hall
Project type:
Oil painting
Date
2001
Location
Lorsch, Germany
On the upper floor of the King's Hall in Lorsch, you can admire artistic wall paintings as part of a guided tour. The oil painting by Ingrid Haupt-Rosenbaum shows part of the window on the north side. The room, which was temporarily used as the Marienkapelle, contains these Gothic frescoes, which were completed around 1398 and are still relatively well preserved, especially on this north side. The artist has worked out the details in her painting more clearly to make the Gothic work of art a little more visible.
